Judit Bodor
Curator and Lecturer, Dartington College of Arts,
Dartington, UK

Lecturer in the Field of Art at Dartington College of Arts, UK and responsible for teaching on the courses of BA Arts & Cultural Management and MA Curating. She is also curator at The Gallery at Dartington. She holds a BA and MA in Arts History and an MA in Arts Management. Previously she was working as an art historian and archivist at Artpool Art Research Centre, Budapest, Hungary (1999-2004). Her research interests are histories and theories of fine art-based performance art, counter-cultural practices and issues of public art as well as the means by which these histories are constructed, archived and disseminated through models of archival practice. She has been lecturing and working mainly on archival and publication projects as well as artists residencies with other art organisations in the UK and abroad.

Nicola Hood
Director, Spacex

Director of Spacex, Exeter, UK since December 2005. Prior to that she worked at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, here she curated exhibitions for the gallery spaces and off-site, initiated a programme of live art events and developed the artist-in-residence programme. She also worked at Arts Council of England, the Architectural Association, Whitechapel Gallery, Kingsgate Gallery and Cubitt Gallery, in London. She has curated projects at South London Gallery and the Showroom, London, and is a Trustee of Kahve-Society. Kahve-Society initiates and produces a programme of artistic and creative activity that includes presentations, events, talks, and publications. All activities serve the central purpose of encouraging open debate and place contemporary arts practices within a social context. She has an MA in Curating from Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Zoë Shearman
Curator, Relational

Zoë Shearman is curator of RELATIONAL, a Bristol-based contemporary art commissioning agency that works with artists on the production and presentation of context-led, socially engaged and participatory projects. Current projects include a series of commissions concerning our contemporary implication in the histories of slavery, for Plymouth Museum & Art Gallery, with artists Mel Jackson, Jyll Bradley, Lisa Cheung, Raimi Gbadamosi and Fiona Kam Meadley, and ‘off-site’ projects for Bristol as part of Arnolfini’s The Far West, co-curated with Tom Trevor and Lu Jie. She was formerly Director of Visual Arts at Riverside Studios, London, and Co-Director of Spacex, Exeter, and has curated context-based projects for The Institute of International Visual Arts, Camden Arts Centre, the Freud Museum and Wellcome Trust. She also works as a consultant.

Martin Thomas

Martin joined Arts Council England, South West, in 2005, to develop the children, young people and the arts strategy and to act as Arts Council�s regional lead for the Every Child Matters government agenda. Previously he was head of development for South West Museums, Libraries & Archives Council, where he led on strategic marketing, learning and social policy; and before that was regional access officer with responsibility for diversity, equality and inclusion.

Tom Trevor
Director, Arnolfini
Bristol, UK

Tom Trevor was appointed Director of Arnolfini, Bristol, in 2005. He studied Fine Art at the Ruskin, University of Oxford, and Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. In the early 1990s he worked as an artist based in London, as well as a musician and music producer for television. As an independent curator from 1994-99, he curated context-based projects for the Institute of International Visual Arts, the Wellcome Trust, Camden Arts Centre and the Freud Museum, amongst other places. He was Director of SPACEX, Exeter, from 1999 to 2005.

i-DAT (The Institute of Digital Art and Technology)
i-DAT is a Centre of Expertise based at the School of Computing, Communication and Electronics, University of Plymouth, and provides an interface for dynamic interactions between industry, the arts and science. It aims to define and establish new fields of practice and critical discourse through the creative and innovative use of digital technologies. It recognises the transformative qualities of digital technologies and their ability to provide a catalyst for trans-disciplinary collaboration, new cultural perspectives and the generation of new knowledge. Integrating teaching, research and creative output, i-DAT disseminates its activities to a broad audience. It seeks to have a positive impact on the local community, regional distinctiveness and urban regeneration in Plymouth. It aims to contribute to developing new audiences, sharing new practices with local practitioners and contribute to a better cultural exchange and understanding through fostering new cultural links.

KURATOR is a curatorial practice-based research project to investigate the cultural context of network technologies and immaterial production. Plymouth Arts Centre, Plymouth, UK
Plymouth Arts Centre’s programme aims to encourage critical debate and to question the role that art plays in wider culture. ­Spacex is a public-funded contemporary art space and registered educational charity. It works to

The Gallery, Dartington College of Arts, Devon, UK
Dartington College of Arts is one of very few specialist arts colleges in the world to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through distinctive practice-led learning/research methods across contemporary arts practices. Collaborative approaches to learning through making, managing and curating contemporary arts, enables specialist knowledge and skills to contribute to a dynamic, experimental and committed community of artists - students and staff. The Gallery at Dartington focuses on professional development and the dissemination of practice-based research of emerging and established art practitioners.
